Carolina Wilga’s disappearance gripped the nation after her friends and family lost contact with her in late June and her van was discovered immobilized off a trail in a nature reserve in the state of Western Australia. The 26-year-old had been found walking along a track on the outskirts of the reserve, having been ravaged by mosquitos and chewed up in the rough terrain.
