In-N-Out fans have been waiting to find out if they will be able to order their favorite burgers through a delivery service, and the chain’s CEO has finally shared her decision—no.

Nearly every restaurant these days allows diners to log into apps like DoorDash and GrubHub and have their meals delivered straight to their front porches. But In-N-Out will not be joining that trend because the company wants fans to only have the freshest, most wholesome experience.

“We have for sure had that put in front of us, and the answer is no,” CEO Lynsi Snyder-Ellingson told Pepperdine University President Jim Gash on April 6. “The main reason is because part of what makes In-N-Out and the experience so special is the interaction and the customer service that we’re able to give – the smile, the greeting… that warmth, and feeling that culture.”

“Mobile ordering will definitely take a piece of that away,” she continued. “There’s also the freshness factor.”

In-N-Out CEO Won’t Sacrifice Quality or Experience

Snyder-Ellingson noted that she’d never want one of her customers to bite into a cold burger, and she won’t be changing her mind.

“We won’t compromise our quality,” she shared. “We’re not going to do things the quicker, easier way because it’s easier for us. We want to do what’s best for our customers.”

So for now, and possibly indefinitely, you’ll have to head to your local In-N-Out if you want to enjoy one of its famous burgers or shakes. And honestly, we respect the company even more for holding true to its values and putting quality over a quick buck.
